Groovy Sixties: a free large-print 1960s word search
Grab your go-go boots! This free puzzle is a trip back to the Sixties: the Beatles on the radio, Bewitched on TV, a Mustang in the driveway and a lava lamp glowing in the corner.
It's printed in big, friendly 22pt letters, just like the puzzles in the book, and the answer key is right on page 2.

Let's talk about the Sixties: conversation starters
For a reminiscing group, or just a chat over coffee:
- One small step: where were you when the moon landing was on TV, and who were you watching it with?
- Doing the Twist: what dances did you do, and what was playing on the radio or the record player?
- Big hair, short skirts: did you or someone in your family ever wear a beehive, a miniskirt or go-go boots? How long did that hairdo take?
- Toy box time: who had an Etch A Sketch? Could you draw anything besides staircases?
Printing tips
- Print at 100%. In the print box, choose "Actual size" or "100%" rather than "Fit". That keeps the letters at their full 22pt size.
- Paper: the PDF is set up for US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches). Nothing is printed closer than half an inch to the edges, so home printers won't cut anything off.
- In the UK or Europe? It prints fine on A4. Choose "Actual size" and the puzzle sits in the middle of the page with a little extra white space top and bottom. If anything looks tight, "Fit to page" works too. Everything shrinks only slightly.
- Only need the puzzle? Print page 1 only and keep page 2 (the answers) for yourself.
- Making copies for a group? Print one, check it, then print the rest. A heavier paper and a dark pencil or felt-tip are easy on the eyes.
